Cannabis seeds are excluded from the legal notion of cannabis, which means that they are not to be considered as a narcotic substance (Law 412 of 1974, Article 1, paragraph 1, letter B, the Single Convention on New York Drugs of 1961 and table II of the ministerial decree 27/7/1992).

Their cultivation is forbidden, so these seeds can be used exclusively for collecting purposes and for genetic preservation. These seeds are distributed with the reservation that they are not used by third parties in conflict with the current laws.
