This rare indica from southeastern Iran, which we have called Iran Balochistan #1, stands out for its extraordinary environmental resistance, adapted to a region of extreme temperature swings. These plants have been tested in high humidity climates with cold current airs and were literally unaffected by neither extreme heat nor humid cold. The plant displays superior tolerance to pests, fungi, and diseases, making it ideal as a genetic base for resistant breeding programs. It has developed exceptional adaptive characteristics in the face of extreme climatic conditions and high environmental pressure. It is a very rare strain and difficult to acquire elsewhere or in a genetic bank. We took it upon ourselves to go and research local lines from these areas with the help of local friends.

This plant is medium-tall, with a compact, branched structure, very wide leaves with 5 to 9 perfectly symmetrical, serrated leaflets of a deep, waxy dark green colour. Sturdy stems and branches with high humidity tolerance. It produces high yields of well-formed buds covered in sticky resin with absolutely unique and exotic aromas and terpenes, uncommon among indica varieties. The aroma is characterized by intense, spicy, and herbal oregano, fresh pine and acidic lemon, animal nuances, beef fat, goat musk, and dense, sweet hints of ripe banana. Especially when the plant is curing, this banana aroma emerges, with a background of floor wax. The flavour is perfumed and fragrant, with a sweet, light lingering aroma in the mouth, creating a rich and complex sensory experience. The effect is balanced and functional, ideal for social daytime use. It is neither euphoric nor sedative. It provides a clear, calm state with slight creative stimulation, perfect for light tasks, meditation, or therapeutic use without overstimulation or drowsiness.

The life cycle of these Iranian indicas is a 10–11 weeks vegetative and a flowering that takes between 7 and 9 weeks depending on the phenotype. This line is a true genetic treasure from southeast of Iran. Its hardiness, atypical aromas, and adaptability make it a key candidate and tool for conservation projects, advanced breeding, and collecting. It is ultra-resistant to humidity, mold, and botrytis, and highly tolerant of insects, mites, and demanding growing conditions. This Iranian indica line is ideal for terpene extractions, breeding for natural resistance, and as a genetic basis for hybrids that require extreme adaptability, distinctive, unique, and rare aromatic profiles.
